Certificate of Authenticity The Budo Kai The idea behind a "Budo kai" is to celebrate and commemorate the best sportsmen in a particular sport. Through an annual election process, practitioners are selected by a panel of established journalists. However, anyone can submit a nomination, which is reviewed and voted on by the IMAOC Hall of Fame Selection Committee, composed of the IJF Executive Committee, members of the IMAOC Commission and IJF Commissioners.
